THE "BIG BUNG ONE" C&R COMPETITION 

Heat dates are

Sunday 7th June

Sunday 28th June

Final Sunday 12 July

 

The "Big Bung One" will be held over 2 heats. The top 15 out of each heat will go forward to the final.

You can enter both heats. 

£30 to enter (£20 none refundable deposit  required) per heat.PAID BY MAY 31ST 2026

Heats will be fished over a straight 5 hour session. 

£25 cost for The Final. Which will include lunch. Final will be 3 hour morning session and a 3 hour afternoon session. 

Guaranteed £1000 for the winner, of the Final.

Second and third cash prize to be confirmed.

RULES 

1. There must be a bung/ indicator attached to your leader. Sliding bungs, drop back or Fario type bung.

(BOOBIES, FABS, FOAM FLIES  ARE NOT PERMITTED as Bung or Indicator) If you are unsure please ask.

2. You can use any fly line.

3. All flies must be barbless or debarbed. No excuses, checks will be carried out.

4. Maximum of 3 rods can be set up. 3 FLIES PER CAST

5. Stop and start on the whistle. Move 4 peg. 35 minutes per  peg.  5 minutes  between pegs. 

6. Fish must be netted and witnessed. By the person to your left or right and card signed. 

In the heats there will be no limit on fish caught per peg.

You will be given 2 points for first fish and 1 point per fish there after.

Final Sunday 12th July

In the final limit will be 6 fish per peg

Scoring will be point based. 2 points for 1st fish, 1 point for next 5.

If you land a Goldie, Brown or Tiger trout these will count as 3 points.(Final only)
